Six years have already passed since the late singer Woo Hye-mi passed away.

Today (the 21st) marks the sixth anniversary of her death. She was found dead at her home in Mangwon-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul on September 21st, 2019. She was 31 years old.

At the time, her agency, Downtown E&M, said, "Woo Hye-mi has passed away at home. We are sad to share this tragic news. In accordance with the family's wishes, the funeral will be held quietly. We sincerely ask that you pray for the repose of the soul of the deceased, whose life was short."

Woo Hye-mi's tragic passing also left her fellow singers in mourning. Her name was first revealed on Mnet's "Voice of Korea" in 2012, leading to tributes from the other singers who appeared on the show.

Fellow singer Son Seung-yeon paid tribute to her, saying, "Of all the singers I know, you were the most unique and artistic. You were also a heavenly musician with great songwriting and composition skills. I hope you rest in peace while doing everything you want to do from now on."

Last year, former "Voice of Korea" members Son Seung-yeon, Yoo Sung-woong, Lee Ye-ji, and Ji Se-hee appeared on KBS2's "Immortal Songs" and sang a song dedicated to the late Woo Hye-mi. They reminisced, "I always sing as if we were five people. No matter where we're sitting, I always think of us as five people. I'm going to sing with that same feeling today as well."

After appearing on "Voice of Korea," Woo Hye-mi debuted with Leessang Company. She subsequently featured on Gary's 'GET SOME AIR' in 2015 and released her second single, 'Egg', in 2017.
