Fire at Gyeonggi High School in Seoul... 1,100 students evacuated
A fire broke out at Gyeonggi High School in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, forcing over 1,100 students, faculty, and staff to evacuate.
According to fire authorities, the fire broke out in a club room on the third floor of Gyeonggi High School in Samsung-dong, Gangnam-gu, at around 2:11 p.m. on the 19th.
One student suffered burns to his finger as a result of the fire and was taken to the hospital in a teacher's car for treatment. The school evacuated over 1,100 students and teachers who were attending classes.
Fire department officials responded to the call and completely extinguished the fire at 2:43 p.m., about 30 minutes later. Authorities are currently investigating the exact cause of the fire.
