China's auto production and sales exceed 20 million units in January-August, according to Chinese media

According to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, China's automobile production and sales volume exceeded 20 million units for the first time in the first eight months of this year.
According to the latest data, automobile production in January-August increased 12.7% year-on-year to 210 units.
The number of new energy vehicles (NEVs) produced increased by 37.3% to 9,625,000 units, and the number of new energy vehicles sold increased by 12.6% to 21,128,000 units.
Sales of new NEVs increased by 36.7% to 9.62 million units, accounting for 45.5% of all new car sales.
In terms of exports, China's automobile exports increased by 13.7% to 4.29 million units during the same period.
