Directors Del Toro and HIKARI, along with actress Jodie Foster, were recognized for their contributions to the development of film, and were presented with the TIFF Tribute Award at the Film Festival on the 8th (local time).
The award was presented by director Park Chan-wook, who was invited to the Toronto Film Festival with Lee Byung-hun for his film "Hopeless."
Lee Byung Hun said, "This award is not for me personally, but for the proud achievements and development of Korean culture."

A Q&A session featuring Director Park and Lee Byung-hun was also held on the 9th and 10th.

"I was surprised by the reaction and felt the deep affection for the film," he said. "It Can't Be Helped," which is scheduled to be released in Korea on the 24th, had already sold over 177,000 tickets as of 8 p.m. on the 11th, and is currently a top-selling film in Korea.
It is currently the top-selling film in cinema districts across Korea, and will have its Asian premiere on the 17th of this month as the opening film of the 30th Busan International Film Festival.
