A man who threw cigarette butts on the street was arrested by police and found to be wanted for a violent crime (South Korea)

A man in his 20s wanted for a violent crime threw a cigarette butt on the road and fled, before being arrested by police officers on foot patrol.
According to the Busan National Police Agency on the 8th, on the 4th of this month,
A mobile patrol unit on foot near the beach witnessed three men smoking cigarettes and throwing cigarette butts on the road without permission. When the police tried to question them, one of the three was caught in a cigarette butt.
A man in his 20s with ink on his face threw off his slippers and began to run away. The police pursued him for about 200 meters, and after confirming that he had entered a building, they called for backup and searched the building.
Blood stains believed to be from the man were found on the fifth floor, and the man was arrested near the elevator on the same floor. The man, who suffered abrasions on his leg while fleeing, reportedly did not put up any resistance at the time of his arrest.
Police investigation revealed that the man was wanted for two violent crimes, including assault. On the 3rd of this month, the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency's Mobile Patrol Unit conducted a nationwide investigation in Suyeong-gu, Busan, based on reports from residents.
A man in his 40s who was wanted in connection with 10 cases, including fraud, has also been arrested.
