Recently, it was reported that YouTuber DEX (Kim Jin-young) has been cast in the Global Project Japan-Korea co-production film 'The House of Ghosts' (Director: Cho Chang-geun / Production: Film company ZOA / Co-production: LKM Factory).
'The House of Ghosts' is a gourmet fantasy romance that depicts the warm connections between human relationships through life and death, loss and freedom, encounters and partings.
DEX plays the role of 'Yoon-seong', a man who appears indifferent on the outside but is sensitive and warm on the inside.
Prior to this, DEX had gained fame through the Netflix variety show 'Escape to Solitary Island 3'.
In addition to this, he was also active in various variety shows such as 'Onni's Direct From Home', 'The Zone: Survival Mission 3' and 'Around the World While I Was Born 4', where he was very well-loved.
Through the film 'Tarot' and the drama 'Eye Shopping', he expanded his field of activity as an actor. In 'Tarot', his acting was recognised as not bad, but in 'iShopping', his acting skills came under scrutiny.
'Eye Shopping' was released later than 'Tarot', but it was DEX's first film. There were constant criticisms about his awkward gait and lack of dialogue delivery.
DEX is currently taking acting lessons. It remains to be seen whether he will be able to overcome the controversy over his acting skills and take his place as an actor when he gets another chance as an actor through 'The House of Ghosts'.
DEX is teaming up with Joo So-jung, Park Hae-rin and Yoo Sung-bin for 'House of Ghosts', which is planned to be released globally in the second half of next year in Japan and South Korea.
