Beyond the Bar - Jeong Chae Young Takes on the Most Difficult Medical Lawsuit

Jung Chae-young takes on a highly challenging legal case in Beyond the Bar.

In episode 9 of JTBC's weekend drama Beyond the Bar, airing on the 30th, rookie associate lawyers are called upon to help a doctor who has been wrongfully sued.

Since joining Yullim, Hyo-min (Jung Chae-young) has demonstrated her abilities and excelled while handling a variety of cases. Her exceptional legal approach and dedication to her clients have led her to victory in numerous lawsuits, earning her the recognition of her strict boss, Seok-hoon (Lee Jin-wook).

Just as Seok-hoon once said, "Justice is protecting those you must protect," Hyo-min is also growing little by little as she strives to embody her own version of justice in the face of an imperfect law. Meanwhile, episode 9 will feature the passionate encounter between Hyo-min and the rookie lawyers as they take on their first medical litigation case.

Photos released ahead of the broadcast capture the attention of the four rookie members of the litigation team: Hyomin, Kookhyun (Kim Kangmin), Heoyoung (Lee Jooyoung), and Sangcheol (Pyo Jae-gyeom). Their passionate enthusiasm can be sensed as they butt heads in a conference room where the lights stay on until late at night.

As this is a medical litigation case, known as one of the most difficult, the medical terminology that will be thrown at them is expected to be a challenge. Hyomin is expected to be enthusiastic, bringing along her roommate, doctor So-ra (Kwon Ah-reum), and even mobilizing her friend Chan-seok. What will be the outcome of this medical litigation case that forced the rookie lawyers to voluntarily work the night shift? It raises curiosity as to whether they will be able to protect their client.
