The film "Autograph" (working title) has wrapped up filming. The film tells the story of Seok-gyu, a candidate for Minister of Justice, who unravels a past incident related to the letter of Seung-hwa, South Korea's last death row inmate, while preparing for his hearing.
In the drama, Jung Sung Il plays the role of Seok-gyu, the justice minister who is the face of this era and a new symbol of politics, and is the center of expectations from both the ruling and opposition parties.
He will play candidate Suga. The film will move back and forth between the past and present, and will delve into the changes that have occurred over the 20 years since he became the prosecutor in charge of the Seung-hwa case in 1997.
Meanwhile, Park Jihyeon plays Sunhwa, who was labeled as a "villain of the age" and sentenced to death for the "Migeum City Arson and Murder Case."
He will show a new side of himself through his inner acting and will increase immersion in the story with his strong presence. "Autograph" is currently being edited and is scheduled for release in 2026.
