The teaser poster and trailer for “Wish Upon the Magic Lamp,” starring actors Kim Woo-bin and Suzy, have been released.

Netflix's “Wish Upon the Magic Lamp,” premiering October 3rd, is a fantasy romantic drama unfolding when Genie (Kim Woo-bin), a spirit awakened from a thousand-year slumber inside a magic lamp, meets Ga-young (Suzy), a woman who has shut off her emotions, and tries to grant her three wishes.

The teaser poster released today hints at the peculiar relationship between Genie and Gayeon, who hold each other's fate in their hands, sparking curiosity. Amidst a golden desert, Genie arrives riding a sandstorm, aiming for the neck of his new master, Gayeon. Meanwhile, Gayeon thrusts a hairpin towards Genie's neck. Their piercing stares, ready to strike at any moment, and the tension shifting between them heighten interest.

The teaser trailer, opening with Sae-do's (Ko Kyu-pil) voice, also heightens curiosity by incorporating the unimaginable encounter between Genie and Gayon. Gayon, “beautiful and strange,” becomes the new master of Genie, the “villain” who confuses people with wishes. Genie chases Gayon, urging, “Hurry up, say it,” while pretending to grant her wish. Gayon, who needs no wish, retorts, “My first wish... should I kill you?” and brandishes various weapons at Genie.

But Genie must lead Gayon to corruption through her wish. All eyes are on whether Genie can actually elicit a wish from emotionless, desireless Gayon. Scenes where the clock's hands turn also unfold, incorporating Gayon's contrasting sides—tears streaming down her emotionless face and bright laughter—adding to the intrigue.
