A man in his 60s who killed his son with a homemade gun in an apartment in Songdo, Incheon, said that after his son was shot, he begged for help but fire the gun again.

After divorcing his ex-wife in 2015, Suspect A did not have a fixed job and received 3.2 million won a month from his ex-wife and son.
Most of the money was used for entertainment and living expenses. After his ex-wife found out that he had received duplicate living expenses, she stopped providing the living expenses on November 15, 2023.

He confessed to having installed the pawnbroker and ignition device in order to burn down the belongings of his ex-wife and son that were left in the house.
Suspect A is currently facing an additional charge of attempted murder, and the issue at stake is whether he will admit to this in court.
