China's fixed asset investment rose 1.6% year-on-year in January-July: Chinese report

China's fixed asset investment (excluding farms) in January-July rose 1.6% year-on-year to 28.8229 trillion yen (approximately 593 trillion yen). Of this, private fixed asset investment fell 1.5%.
By industry, primary industry investment increased by 5.6% to 564.6 billion former (approximately 11.6 trillion yen), secondary industry investment increased by 8.9% to 10.4455 trillion former (approximately 214.9 trillion yen), and tertiary industry investment increased by 1.2% to 1.4455 trillion former (approximately 1.49 trillion yen).
Industrial investment fell 2.3% to 17,812.8 billion yen (approximately 366.5 trillion yen). Within the secondary industry, industrial investment increased by 9.0%. Of this, mining increased by 3.0% and manufacturing increased by 6.0%.
The tertiary industry saw an increase of 2.0% in infrastructure investment (excluding the production and supply of electricity, thermal energy, gas and water) and 21.5% in infrastructure investment (excluding the production and supply of electricity, thermal energy, gas and water).
Of these, water transportation increased by 18.9%, water management by 12.6%, and rail transportation by 5.9%.
Fixed asset investment by type of establishment increased by 1.7% for domestic companies and 3.5% for Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan companies.
Meanwhile, investment in fixed assets (excluding farms) in July fell 0.63% from the previous month.
