That same morning, he also attended the 80th Liberation Day Ceremony held at the Sejong Center in Jongno-gu, Seoul, where he recited the pledge to the national flag.
The theme of the event was "80 years since liberation, building a future with national sovereignty," and it emphasized the importance of inheriting the spirit of the independence movement and the value of national sovereignty. The event was attended by approximately 25 people, including relatives of independence activists, government officials, diplomatic corps in Korea, and citizens.
