BTS' JUNG KOOK achieves a remarkable feat on the US Billboard charts... ”Seven” breaks the record for Asian solo artists

BTS's JUNG KOOK continues his unbroken streak of success on Billboard.

According to the latest charts released by American music media outlet Billboard on August 16, JUNG KOOK's first solo debut song 'Seven' ranked 120th on the Global 200 chart.

　'Seven' also reached 71st place on the “Global (excluding the U.S.)” chart dated August 16. Compared to the previous week, the song climbed 7 ranks on the “Global 200” chart and 2 ranks on the “Global (excluding the U.S.)” chart, showcasing its global popularity and robust music power.

　With 'Seven', JUNG KOOK set a new record as the first and longest-running Asian solo artist to achieve 107 consecutive weeks on the 'Global 200' chart and 108 consecutive weeks on the “Global (excluding the U.S.)” chart, demonstrating his status as a global superstar.

　Prior to this, JUNG KOOK also topped the Global 200 and Global (Excluding the U.S.) charts with 'Seven', '3D', and 'Standing Next to You'. According to Billboard's official website, JUNG KOOK has appeared on these charts for a total of 242 weeks and 291 weeks, respectively.

　'Seven' debuted at number one on the “Hot 100,” the main singles chart of “Billboard,” which is considered a representative indicator of global pop music trends, and remained on the chart for 15 consecutive weeks.

　'Seven' also made history on Spotify's main chart, the “Weekly Top Songs Global” chart, becoming the first and longest-charting Asian solo artist song with 109 consecutive weeks on the chart. Additionally, it became the first and fastest Asian artist song to surpass 2.493 billion streams, with 2.5 billion streams now within reach.

　'Seven' was also ranked first on Billboard's “2023 Global Summer Song” chart and selected as the most popular song in over 200 countries and regions worldwide (excluding the US) on the “2024 International Power Players” chart.
