Actor in his 40s investigated for domestic violence...Wife withdraws complaint (South Korea)

It has been belatedly revealed that police were dispatched to a South Korean actor in his 40s after receiving a report that he had assaulted his wife at home.
According to the police on the 14th, on the afternoon of the 24th of last month, a small group of people were arrested in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea.
A report was received that actor A, in his 40s, had assaulted his wife B at their home in Bucheon. At the time, A had an argument with B and was about to leave the house, but B tried to stop him.
The police investigated Mr. A on suspicion of assault, but, given that Mr. B did not want to be punished, they classified the case as a family protection case rather than a criminal case.
A police official said, "It is true that we received a report of domestic violence and responded. Because it is a domestic protection case, we cannot disclose the specific details."
Mr. A has appeared in multiple films and TV series, including a supporting role in a Korean film that attracted over 10 million viewers.
He is known as a well-known figure.
