”Unauthorized copying of songs”... G-DRAGON (BIGBANG) and Yang HYUNSUK investigated for copyright violations = South Korea

Police have arrested singer G-DRAGON (real name: Kwon Jiyeon), entertainment executive producer Yang Hyun-Suky G, and other related parties on suspicion of copyright law violations.
According to the police on the 12th, Seoul Mapo Police Station received a complaint from composer A in November last year and is currently investigating. A is suspected of using a song he produced for YG Entertainment.
The complaint alleges that YG Entertainment reproduced the music without their consent, produced it as an album, and distributed it, thereby violating their copyright.
Two searches were conducted, including at the Entertainment headquarters. A police official said, "The investigation is currently ongoing, and we cannot disclose the specifics of the investigation."
