The event was planned to revitalize the local economy by attracting Japanese tourists. Korean Air executives, including Lee Seok-woo, head of the Japan region, attended the event, along with representatives from Japan's three largest airports.
A total of nine people participated, including representatives from travel agencies JTB, HIS, and Kinki Nippon Tourist (KNT), as well as agencies specializing in overseas individual travel (FIT) and group travel.
Participants will be able to tour major attractions and tourist destinations throughout Busan, including Haeundae, and experience the local gourmet streets firsthand.
They also discussed the possibility of practical cooperation with the Busan Tourism Organization, such as developing regional collaboration products and exploring ways to revitalize tourism in Busan.
On the final day, they held a lunch meeting with Busan Vice Mayor Lee Jun-seong to discuss the development of the local tourism industry. A Korean Air official said, "We will contribute to promoting Busan's tourism resources and revitalizing the local economy.
"We hope to provide a variety of travel products that can fully showcase the special charms that only Busan has, and make a significant contribution to revitalizing tourism in the Busan area."
