President Lee Jae-myung's approval rating ”rises” slightly... The gap between the ruling and opposition parties widens further = South Korea
The results of a public opinion poll announced on the 4th showed that South Korean President Lee Jae-myung's approval rating has risen slightly.
The South Korean polling agency "Realmeter" conducted a survey from July 28th to August 1st.
According to a weekly survey conducted in the fifth week of July among 2,520 voters aged 18 and over, President Lee's approval rating rose 1.8 percentage points from the previous week to 63.3%.
Disapproval fell 1.6 percentage points to 31.4%, while 5.3% responded that they were "not sure."
Meanwhile, Realmeter surveyed 1,012 voters aged 18 and over from July 31 to August 1.
According to a survey of party approval ratings conducted by the National Diet, the ruling Democratic Party of Korea recorded 54.5%, up 3.7 percentage points from the previous week.
The main opposition party, the People's Power Party, also recorded a drop of 2.8 percentage points from the previous week to 27.2%.
The gap with the ruling party widened from the previous week (21.8 percentage points) to 27.3 percentage points, followed by the New Reform Party (2.8%), the Fatherland Reform Party (2.6%), and the Progressive Party (1.4%).
The top three responses were as follows: independents accounted for 8.5%.
