On the 26th, episode 492 of JTBC's Knowing Bros　aired a segment titled “Foreign Names Special.”

Paul Kim took his stage name from his baptismal name, “Paul.” He explained, “I've been using this name since I was a child, so my friends and parents call me Paul. That's why I decided to go with ‘Paul Kim.’”

Paul Kim shared an anecdote about his real name, saying, “When I went on a trip to Prague, while checking in at the lobby, the staff kept glancing at me and laughing. That made me think, ‘Am I famous in Europe?’” He continued, “The staff asked me, ‘Are you a singer? If you're a singer, which idol group are you in?’” I'm not in an idol group; I'm a solo artist. Actually, my real name is Kim Tae-hyun, so they asked me, ‘Are you BTS?’" he shared the incident related to his real name.

Paul Kim revealed that at the time, he replied, “V doesn't come to this kind of hotel,” which sparked laughter.
