Restaurant that served fatty samgyeopsal on Ulleung Island eventually closed down (South Korea)

A restaurant in Ulleung County, North Gyeongsang Province, which caused controversy with its 'fatty samgyeopsal', has become the first in the area to be ordered to close.

As the uproar grew, the restaurant owner said, "When I went to the hospital because I was feeling unwell, I had to take out the front leg of the pig that I had set aside for making chige.
It appears that the meat was served by mistake. It was a mistake," he explained. Nam Han-kwon, the Ulleung County governor of Ulleung Island, also said, "We deeply regret the disappointment and concern that has been caused by the exposure of the reality of Ulleung tourism.
