A group that obtained and sold BTS's flight boarding information...sent to prosecutors

A group of people who obtained and sold flight information for celebrities including the group BTS have been handed over to the prosecution. On the 22nd, the Seoul National Police Agency's Cyber Investigation Team announced that they were involved in a case involving the promotion of information and communication network use.
On the 18th, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office announced that it had sent three people, including a foreign airline employee named A, to the prosecution for allegedly violating the Act on Advancement and Protection of Information.
Police arrested Mr. A in February and two accomplices in March and have been investigating. As a result of the investigation, it was revealed that Mr. A was providing information on the boarding of famous celebrities, including "BTS".
After illegally obtaining the information, he received payment and handed it over to a distribution manager. The distribution manager was found to have sold the information through open chat rooms and social media messages.
HYBE had previously set up a task force (TF) to deal with the leak of airline ticket information in 2023, and after checking social media accounts that traded celebrity airline tickets, the identity of the person in charge of distribution was revealed.
The former was identified and reported to the police.
