”BTS” V and JUNG KOOK fail to reach arbitration for 90 million won damages lawsuit against ”Escape from Otaku Detention Center”

The mediation for the damages lawsuit filed by BTS members V and JUNG KOOK against the cyber-wrecker YouTuber "Escape from Otaku Camp" has failed.
On July 21, the Seoul Western District Court's First Mediation Division announced that BTS's V and JUNG KOOK's management office, Big Hit Entertainment, had filed a lawsuit against the company.
The arbitration date for the appeal trial of the damages lawsuit filed by "Music" against "Escape from Otaku Camp" operator A was held.
As no agreement was reached on that day, the mediation was unsuccessful. As a result, the existing appeal trial is scheduled to resume.
Prior to this, in 2021, Mr. A had been dating members of "BTS", including Jang Won Young, Kang Daniel, and Karina.
The problem was that Mr. A had made hundreds of millions of won in revenue by posting videos that slandered celebrities. Mr. A was leading a wealthy life by earning money from slanderous videos and Fei News.
Stars were being tormented by groundless rumors. In response, Jang Won Young's agency, Starship Entertainment, began to take responsibility for the damage caused by Mr. A.
The stars who received the news have filed lawsuits one after another. Big Hit Music is suing A for 90 million won in damages, claiming that A defamed them and hindered the company's business.
The lawsuit also pointed out that A used the copyrighted material of management office without permission. Big Hit Music filed a lawsuit against A for damages for defamation and other illegal acts.
In February, the Seoul Western District Court's Civil Case No. 12 Exclusive ruled that A had filed a lawsuit against Big Hit Entertainment for allegedly violating the terms of the contract.
The court ruled in partial favor of the plaintiffs, ordering them to pay 51 million won to "Music", 10 million won to V, and 15 million won to Jung Kook.
However, both sides appealed the ruling.
