According to Bloomberg on the 21st (local time), the Bitcoin holdings of Strategy, the company that holds the most Bitcoin in the world, reached approximately 10 trillion yen.
According to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Strategy reportedly purchased an additional 6,220 BTC for $739.8 million in the seven days leading up to July 20.
This brings the total Bitcoin held by the company to 607,770 BTC, which is equivalent to 3.05% of the current total of approximately 19.9 million BTC mined.
Strategy CEO Michael Saylor began buying cryptocurrencies in late 2020 as a hedge against inflation.
He later increased his holdings to over 600,000 BTC, eventually reaching a value approaching approximately $72 billion following Bitcoin's recent rally.
Strategy's stock price has soared more than 3,500% since CEO Saylor began buying Bitcoin.
During the same period, Bitcoin rose 1,100%, while the S&P 500 only rose 120%.
On the same day, the stock rose 0.72% to $426.28 in the New York market, bringing its market capitalization to $119.7 billion.
