Actor and singer Jang Keun Suk will make his first appearance on MBC's Radio Star to prove his status as a “world-class prince” who travels between Japan and South Korea.

The episode of MBC's Radio Star airing on Wednesday night, the 16th, features a special segment titled “World-Class, Only I Can See It~,” with guests including Jang Keun Suk, Lee Hong Gi (FTISLAND), Soobin (TOMORROW X TOGETHER), and Kim Shin-yo.

Jang Keun Suk, who hasn't been on a variety show in a while, said, “This is my first time at the MBC building in Sangam,” and shared, “I've only been to the café behind the MBC building to drink tea.” He also mentioned that 'Radio Star' was a show he had always wanted to appear on.

He then revealed his battle with thyroid cancer, saying, “I waited for surgery for 10 months without even telling my family,” and shared, “After overcoming the illness, I wanted to stand in front of more audiences.” His resumed activities in Japan and his communication methods with fans after recovering his health are also drawing attention.

His music activities, which include busking performances and EDM stages in Japan, as well as various conceptual performances, are introduced. Jang Keun-suk surprised everyone by saying, “The age range of my fans has expanded to include those in their 70s,” and “There are many passionate fans like the mothers in Gangnam District 8.” He introduced the lineage of Korean wave stars in Japan that he had compiled himself, reflecting on his own position alongside figures like Bae Yong-joon, Park Bo-gum, and Choi Jung-kyup.
