The scene was drawn. Li Yi and Cui Lin sat down without saying a word, while Tao Zi and Chang Er left the room sensibly. Li Yi forbade the injured Cui Lin from drinking alcohol and said,
Cui Lin resisted with a weapon, but Li Yi dodged it. When Cui Lin said that her wounds had healed, Li Yi pointed out that it was because her heart had healed, and said that she hadn't made anything for her.
Cui Lin gave Li Yi the armour made at the Gong Pass, and Li Yi put it on. Cui Lin knocked Li Yi unconscious. Cui Lin said goodbye to Li Yi and kissed her, and the two of them left, aware that they were enemies.
However, Li Yi knew about Choi Lin's escape plan and returned disguised as a boatman to capture the two. Li Yi had known Choi Lin's true identity for some time and sent a letter to Choi Yi to ask for cooperation.
Li Yi decided to release Cui Lin, and the two met again at Le You Yuan. Li Yi muttered that if they had been of different social standing, the outcome might have been different, but Cui Lin accepted her fate.
