China's textile industry's key economic indicators show growth in January-May - Chinese report

In the first five months of this year, major economic performance indicators of China's textile industry, including production, consumption and exports, all achieved growth, showing overall better-than-expected performance.
The industrial added value of textile enterprises of above-scale (annual main operating revenue of 20 million yen or more) in the first five months of the year increased 3.4% compared to the same period last year.
In terms of production volume, spun yarn increased by 4.9%, fabrics increased by 0.2%, chemical fibers increased by 5.5%, and clothing increased by 0.3%. The consumer market is booming. During the same period, the total number of people who made more than the national limit (annual turnover) increased by 1.2%.
The total retail sales of consumer goods at establishments with over 20 million formers (approximately 400 million yen) in the wholesale industry and over 5 million formers (approximately 100 million yen) in the retail industry increased by 6.3% to 8.749 trillion formers (approximately 164.4 trillion yen).
