In the accident, Mr. A suffered minor injuries, while his three passengers in their 60s and 70s suffered minor to serious injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital.
They are currently receiving treatment. The car caught on trees and other objects when it fell, absorbing some of the impact, and no one was seriously injured enough to be in danger of dying.
Mr. A, who was driving, stated during police questioning that "the brakes didn't work."
