Democratic Party of Korea: ”Yoon Seok-yeol's North Korean manipulation... If true, it is a serious act of deceiving the people and treason” = South Korea

"He must apologize to the people and answer the charges of civil unrest and foreign exchange fraud," the ruling Democratic Party said on the 5th in response to the second summons for investigation of former President Yoon Seok-yeol.
"We already have enough evidence and testimony to prove the allegations of insurrection against Yoon Seok-yeol," said Baek Seung-ah, floor spokesman for the Democratic Party of Korea, in a briefing on the same day.
"At the same time, a full-scale investigation into the foreign exchange crimes must be launched," he said. "The shocking allegations that Yoon Seok-yeol planned the 'North Wind Operation' to justify the emergency martial law have been made.
"If this is true, it is an act of deceiving the public and forcing them into gambling with national security, which is a serious act of treason that is punishable by at least life imprisonment under the criminal code."
He also said, "The presidential office is at the center of the Yoon Seok-yeol and Kim Gun-hee couple's political monopoly and illegal martial law.
"The office is the core of their illegal and corrupt activities, which have led or been scaled down or covered up," he said. "They have been involved in illegal opinion polls, interference in (election) nominations, and other power-based corruption and illegal destruction of documents.
Even though the details of organized crime, such as the order to delete secret phone call records, have come to light, the investigative authorities have delayed their investigation, merely checking the mood. This is a clear dereliction of duty.
"We cannot tolerate an investigation that is so narrow-minded that it would be unacceptable. The entire presidential office must be promptly and thoroughly investigated."
