The Korean polling organization "Gallup Korea" conducted a survey of 100 men and women aged 18 and over from the 1st to the 3rd of this month.
According to a regular survey conducted in the first week of July targeting 1,010 people, President Lee's approval rating was 65% and his disapproval rating was 23%, with 12% having reservations.
Compared to the previous survey (the fourth week of June), approval rating increased by 1 percentage point, while disapproval rating increased by 2 percentage points.
The most common reason given for supporting President Lee was "drive, execution, and speed" at 15%, followed by "economy and people's lives" (13%), "communication" (10%), and "general good" (
On the other hand, the most common reason given for not supporting President Lee was "excessive welfare and national living support subsidies" at 14%, followed by "diplomacy" and "moral issues and lack of qualifications."
Meanwhile, the party approval rating survey showed the ruling Democratic Party of Korea with 46% and the People Power Party with 22%. The ruling party's approval rating has increased by 3 percentage points since the previous survey (the fourth week of June).
The Democratic Party rose 1 percentage point, while the People Power Party also rose 1 percentage point. This was followed by the Fatherland Reform Party and the New Reform Party at 3 percent each, the Progressive Party at 1 percent, and independents at 23 percent.
