LG holds meeting with Korea National Space Administration as interest in space business grows

The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (KASA) held the KASA-LG Roundtable to promote the expansion of the private sector-led aerospace industry.

He also stressed the importance of private companies responding to changes, saying that if they could harness these changes as opportunities, they could develop new markets and contribute greatly to economic growth.
Meanwhile, LG spoke about its role based on its space technology and introduced the current status of space startup development.
They presented a successful test run of a lunar and planetary exploration rover, which they are conducting with the Institute for Unmanned Exploration at Tottenham, as well as their operational plans.
Prior to this, in 2016, battery giant LG Energy Solution won the NASA space program.
The company has been selected to supply lithium Eon batteries for the space suits, and the company says its batteries have passed NASA's rigorous testing with the highest scores.
LG said, "We are currently in the process of examining the possibility of entering the space industry. We plan to closely monitor various situations and explore business opportunities."
