Teenager dies after sustaining burns in cart accident on Jeju Island, South Korea

A teenage boy who was receiving treatment for burns all over his body after a cart overturned and caught fire at a theme park on Jeju Island, South Korea, has died.
According to police on the 23rd, the accident occurred on the 29th of last month while riding a leisure cart at a kart track in a theme park in Seogwipo, Jeju.
A teenager, Mr. A, was hit by a cart and suffered burns all over his body, and died on the 22nd of this month. At the time of the accident, the cart he was driving collided with a tire designed to prevent the car from slipping off while going around a curve, and overturned.
The spilled fuel ignited due to the heat of the cart, causing a fire, and Mr. A suffered burns all over his body. Mr. A was rescued, received first aid, and was taken to a hospital on Cheju Island by Dr. HYERI.
After being sent to the hospital, he was transferred to a hospital in Seoul by the Hyeri Fire Department, where he was undergoing treatment for 25 days. The police conducted an on-site investigation in collaboration with the National Forensic Service and filed a criminal complaint against the management company for professional negligence resulting in injury.
The possibility of this being the case is also under investigation.
