新ドラマ「優しい男」イ・ドンウク、深く寂しげな眼差し…傷だらけのやくざに変身
New TV series ”The Kind Man” Lee Dong Wook, with a deep and lonely gaze... transforms into a scarred gangster
A teaser poster of actor Lee Dong Wook has been released. On July 18, JTBC's Friday series "A Kind Man" (directed by Song Hye-sung and Park Hong-soo, written by Kim Eun-gi) will kick off.
On the 23rd, Park Seok Chul's (Lee Dong Woo) production company released a teaser poster that leaves a lasting impression of the loneliness in Park Seok Chul's (Lee Dong Woo) lonely gaze.
"The Kind Man" is about Park Seok-cheol, the eldest son of a three-generation gangster family who is surprisingly innocent, and his first love, Kan Mi Youn (Lee Seong-ho), who dreams of becoming a singer.
It is an emotional noir drama by Kim Kyung. The passionate love between two men and women who give up everything for their loved ones, and the process of overcoming harsh reality to pursue their dreams, leave a deep resonance in the midst of warm laughter.
The teaser poster released on the same day amplified curiosity by revealing the fate of Park Seok-cheol, who dreamed of becoming a novelist but had no choice but to become a gangster.
Park Seok-cheol is sitting alone in the deserted subway, staring blankly at the camera. The scars visible all over his face suggest he is a thug who has repeatedly gotten into tedious fights.
It's like we get to see Seok Cheol's life. Lee Dong Wook, who is expected to show a transformation in his acting, plays the role of Park Seok Cheol, the eldest son of a three-generation gangster family who reluctantly becomes a gangster.
He has endured more naively than anyone else, but finally decides to get his life back on track. He reprises his childhood dream of becoming a novelist like Hemingway.
His life takes another whirlwind when he has a fateful reunion with his first love, Kan Mi Youn. The production team of "A Kind Man" said, "Park Jin-soo is a 'kind man' who searches for a new life and love even in the midst of the trials of a rough reality.
"Seok Cheol's story gives you heart-warming empathy amidst warm laughter," and "Actor Lee Dong Wook brings to life an emotional noir drama that covers everything from intense action to deep emotional lines.
"The Kind Man," which kicks off JTBC's Friday series, will premiere on July 18 at 8:50 p.m. and will air two episodes in a row every Friday.
