President Lee: ”We will work to strengthen cooperation with the United Nations to contribute to international peace”

South Korean President Lee Jae-myung said on the 17th (local time) that he will strengthen cooperation with the United Nations in order to contribute to international peace.
On the same day, President Lee announced through X (formerly Twitter) that after a brief meeting with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres at the G7 summit,
President Lee stated, "In today's era of multiple crises, in order to resolve the common challenges facing the international community, the United Nations must play a central role in guiding international solidarity.
President Lee also said, "This year marks the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations, and is a significant year. Our government will continue to support the United Nations in promoting international peace and
"We will continue to strengthen cooperation so that we can contribute even more to prosperity," he said.
