China's Zhejiang province's exports and imports in January-May up 6.5% year-on-year: Chinese report

According to statistics from Hangzhou Customs, Zhejiang Province's foreign trade imports and exports in the first five months of the year reached 2.24 trillion formers (about 44.9 trillion yen), up 6.5% from the same period last year.
Of this, exports increased by 9.6% to 1.69 trillion former (approximately 33.9 trillion yen), while imports decreased by 2.2% to 547.45 billion former (approximately 11 trillion yen).

Imports from China accounted for 47.3% of the total. Of these, electric vehicles increased by 86% and ships increased by 18.2%. By import item, machinery and electrical products increased by 20% to 85.75 billion yen (approximately 1.7 trillion yen).
