Yoon's legal team plans to submit a letter of opinion to the National Police Agency and the National Investigation Agency on the 11th stating that there is no need for police to appear for an investigation.
The police's special martial law investigation team reportedly sent the first request to former President Yoon on May 27th to appear on the 5th of this month.
However, as former President Yoon's side did not comply with this, the police issued a second notice to them to appear again on the 12th of this month.
The charges currently being applied to former President Yoon are "special obstruction of official duties" and "incitement to abuse of power under the Presidential Security Service." Former President Yoon has mobilized the Presidential Security Service to obtain an arrest warrant for himself.
The police are also investigating the matter of former President Yoon's order to delete the records of the three commanders' secret phone conversations on December 7 last year.
An additional charge of incitement to violate the Presidential Protection Act was filed.
