American Chamber of Commerce in Korea visits Washington to seek stronger U.S.-Korea economic cooperation
A delegation from the American Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AMCHAM Korea) will visit Washington DC, the capital of the United States, to explore ways to strengthen economic cooperation between the United States and South Korea.
As the meeting comes shortly after the election of President Jae-in of South Korea, the main topics of discussion are expected to be policy changes that will accompany the inauguration of the new South Korean government.
According to a South Korean business source, the delegation will visit the country from the 10th to the 12th (local time) of this month.
The annual "Washington Doorknock" program will take place from 10:00 to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18. During the visit, the multi-industry delegation will meet with government officials, Congressional representatives, and business leaders.
Through this annual "door-knock" program, AMCHAM will hold talks with US and ROK governments and companies to discuss ways to maintain and strengthen the US-ROK economic partnership.
As a bridge between the two industries, I support cooperation toward a prosperous and secure future for our two economies.
During a meeting with AMCHAM officials, including Chairman and CEO Kim, he said, "The US-ROK relationship will go beyond a blood pact and become a comprehensive alliance."
In a statement congratulating President Lee on his election, AMCHAM said, "Under new leadership, the Korean economy will make a turning point for a new leap forward."
With the inauguration of the second term of the Trump administration in the United States, U.S.-ROK relations are at a critical turning point. We will further strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries and fulfill our role as a bridge between the two countries as a trusted economic partner.
This shows the company's stance of "We will do our best."
