President Lee's remarks came as he began his term without a transition committee, and as such, he has had considerable ties with the state affairs councilors of the previous administration of President Yoon Seok-yeol.
This is thought to mean that they will have to live together awkwardly for a period of time. Therefore, President Lee will continue to work on stabilizing national affairs with the previous ministers until the selection of the new government is completed.
President Lee also received reports on pending issues from each department during the Cabinet meeting. He was a very punctual person who read reports from lawmakers one by one even when he was the party leader and a presidential candidate.
