After causing a fatal traffic accident, he arrived at work... A man in his 40s was arrested for a hit-and-run crime in Ulsan, South Korea

A man in his 40s who arrived at work after causing a fatal hit-and-run accident was arrested by police. The Ulsan Bukbu Police Station arrested him on suspicion of flight resulting in death under the Act on Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes on the 4th.
The suspect, a teenager named A, was arrested on the 2nd at around 7:07am while driving a sports utility vehicle (SUV) on a road in Shinmyeong-dong, Buk-gu, Ulsan when he was hit by a car ahead of him.
It is suspected that the suspect ran into an electric cart traveling on the road and then fled the scene. In the accident, the driver of the electric cart, Mr. B, in his 60s, was killed, and his wife, who was riding with him, was seriously injured.
The investigation revealed that the suspect, A, had fled the scene without taking any special rescue measures other than calling 119. The police, who responded to the call, analyzed the footage from nearby security cameras.
Through these means, the vehicle number of suspect A was identified and he was arrested on emergency grounds at his workplace 8 hours and 30 minutes after the accident.
Police are investigating whether suspect A was drinking or taking drugs at the time of the accident through blood samples.
The case will be referred to the prosecutor's office once the investigation is completed, including confirmation of whether or not there was any use.
