White House Press Secretary responds to question about South Korean presidential election: ”It was right here”... Documents never found
White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt said on the 3rd (local time) that she could not answer questions because she could not find documents on the Donald Trump administration's position on the results of the South Korean presidential election.
At the press conference that day, when asked if there had been a White House response to the South Korean presidential election, Press Secretary Levitt replied, "Yes."
However, after flipping through the documents on the podium and searching for it, he was unable to find it and replied, "I don't have the paper, so I'll give it to you later," before moving on to other questions.
In addition, at a State Department press conference held shortly after the White House press conference, the U.S. government's response to the South Korean presidential election was not reported.
When I asked a State Department spokesman about the administration's response, he said, "We are not certifying the election.
"We are waiting for the final decision," he said, "and will issue a statement once the results are out."
