On the 2nd, Kim Moon-soo, the presidential candidate of the ruling People Power Party, said, "I am sorry that we were not able to unite with Lee Jun-seok, the candidate of the New Reform Party."
"If you vote for me, you will be helping Lee Jae-myung, the candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea," he said, appealing for support for himself.
During the afternoon campaign, Kim said, "We will not let the flame of hope die out until the very end.
Candidate Kim then emphasized his own integrity, saying, "I want to build a great Korea that is free of corruption and is honest and respectable, where people who work hard are respected."
Candidate Kim also expressed concern about candidate Lee Jae Myung, saying, "He is running a Hitler-style dictatorship" and "He is trying to put the judiciary under his control."
He concluded by saying, "Tomorrow (the 3rd) is the day good will triumph over evil."
