Rapper Dok2, who ”experienced the death of his own mother,” has escaped from being a high-tax defaulter... paying off over 600 million yen in unpaid taxes

It has been reported that rapper Dok2 has paid off his overdue taxes. On the 2nd, a media outlet reported that he paid a total of 672 million yen in overdue taxes, including income tax, local taxes, and health insurance premiums.
In 2023, Dok2 was named as a habitual high-tax defaulter, having previously failed to pay taxes worth 67.2 million yen. Dok2, who had shown his intention to pay all of his taxes, recently paid all of his outstanding taxes.
The reason Dok2 received even more criticism for the overdue tax payment is because he used to brag a lot about money in the past. In 2018, in response to allegations that his mother had debts, he said, "The 10 million won is mine.
In addition, Dok2 was accused of buying 45 million won worth of precious metals from an overseas jeweler for the performances.
He bought the music on credit, put off paying the money, and was even forced to pay by the court. Dok2 has now paid all of his overdue taxes and is reportedly preparing a new song.
Meanwhile, in March, Dok2 said, "My mother, who had been suffering from pneumonia, diabetes, and stroke for over three years, passed away on Valentine's Day, just before her birthday on March 9th.
"In order to prevent her from having any further pain, all the devices were removed from her at the hospice and she passed away peacefully in heaven," Dok2 said. "I always play my birthday song for my mother and sing it for her first time.
"I'm releasing a song dedicated to my mother to commemorate her birthday, which will be the first time I've spent without her," he said, "In the few years before my mother passed away, I wanted to show her only a good side of herself, but it seems I wasn't able to do that."
"And my heart aches," he said, expressing his feelings about losing his mother.
