In response to the application for a provisional injunction prohibiting the conclusion of an exclusive contract and advertising contract, the debtor "NewJeans" stated that "Until the first instance judgment on the exclusive contract validity confirmation lawsuit is handed down, the debtor "NewJeans" cannot enter into any contract without the prior approval or consent of the creditor ADOR.
As a result, it became impossible for NewJeans to exclude ADOR and engage in independent activities.
"Self-activities" means that they cannot engage in activities outside of ADOR's affiliation. The court also said that if NewJeans violates this decision, it will be fined 1 billion won for each violation.
The contract also includes a mandatory clause requiring NewJeans to pay 5 billion won in compensation to the planning company if they were to carry out independent activities.
Prior to this, on the 16th, the 50th Civil Division of the Seoul Central District Court (Chief Judge Kim Sang-hoon) announced that "NewJeans"
The court upheld the provisional injunction in response to an appeal by the members of the company.
NewJeans ceased independent activities after their Hong Kong concert. However, despite the provisional injunction being granted, they appealed the decision.
The members of "NewJeans" have also taken to social media to express their feelings and to fight ADOR to the end.
