US SEC agrees to end lawsuit with Binance, files court dismissal documents

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and virtual asset exchange Binance have reached an agreement to end their legal battle.
The SEC filed a memorandum of understanding asking the court to dismiss the lawsuit, saying it "determined that from a policy perspective it was appropriate to dismiss the lawsuit."
The SEC filed a lawsuit in June 2023 against Binance and its founder, Changpeng Zhao, for selling unregistered securities.
