Vice President Vance: 100 Million Americans Will Own Bitcoin

US Vice President J.D. Vance attended the Bitcoin Conference 2025 in Las Vegas on the 28th (local time) and announced that 100 million Americans will own Bitcoin.
On the same day, he said, "About 50 million Americans own Bitcoin, but that will soon increase to 100 million," and "Virtual assets are a hedge against inflation."
"We will prioritize resolving the excessive regulations and legal disputes regarding virtual assets that arose during the previous administration," he said, adding, "The GENIUS Act (a bill to regulate stable coins in the United States) will come into effect.
"If this is done, we will see an increase in the use of stablecoins in payment systems," he said. Vice President Vance also revealed that he holds Bitcoin.
