Payment app ”Toss” partners with Harvard University for research program - Korean media
Bivali Publica, which operates the smartphone payment app "Toss," has participated in a field study conducted by the Harvard Business School (HBS) at the University of Harvard.
The company announced that it has been selected as an official partner of the FIELD Global Capstone, a learning program that aims to strengthen practical skills and teamwork in diverse environments.
About 900 HBS students participated in the required course, designed to help students understand the world of business and the culture of the region. Toth was one of 14 partner companies selected from around the world.
The participating students worked on their research projects at the Vivari Publica headquarters in Seoul from May 12 to 19. The theme of the research was the millennial and senior generations.
The students began their research by meeting with the company's team over a two-month period, forming hypotheses and conducting interviews with American users.
We conducted user tests and street interviews with senior citizens. We also collaborated with developers and strategists of senior-related services at Toss to discuss the service design and business model.
The students shared their analysis of similar cases from around the world, and made plans and proposals focusing on ideas that can be applied to tossing, which they then presented.
