In a two-way showdown with Lee Jae-myung, Han Deok-soo would win 40% and Kim Moon-soo 38% - South Korean opinion poll

In the two-way showdown with Democratic Party of Korea presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung, independent candidate Han Deok-soo and People Power Party candidate Kim Moon-soo have similarities.
In the three-way contest that also included Lee Jae-myung and Lee Jun-seok of the New Reform Party, the two candidates were in a close race within the margin of error.
On the 7th, the polling agency Korea Gallup conducted a nationwide poll of 1,007 men and women aged 18 and over on the 4th and 5th of this month at the request of News1. The results showed that "the top two candidates, Lee Jae-myung and Han Deok-soo, are the most popular candidates."
In response to the question, "If someone were to run for president, who do you think would be best?" Lee Jae-myung received 53% support, while Han Deok-soo received 40%.
In the same vein, when asked about a hypothetical two-way race between candidates Lee Jae-myung and Kim Moon-soo, candidate Lee Jae-myung received 54% of the votes.
However, Kim Moon-soo received 38% of the support, a similar figure to the two-way contest between Lee Jae-myung (53%) and Han Deok-soo (40%).
If Kim Moon-soo runs against Lee Jae-myung, there will not be a big difference between the candidates no matter who runs. Even in a three-way battle that includes Lee Jun-seok, there was not much difference between the two candidates.
In the three-way contest between candidates Lee Jae-myung, Kim Moon-soo and Lee Jun-seok, Lee Jae-myung received 51% of the votes, Kim Moon-soo 33% and Lee Jun-seok 8%.
In the face-off, Lee Jae-myung received 50% of the votes, Han Deok-soo 36%, and Lee Jun-seok 8%. As in the two-way contest, the difference between Kim Moon-soo and Han Deok-soo was within the margin of error.
Meanwhile, candidates Kim Moon-soo and Han Deok-soo are scheduled to meet at 6 pm on the 7th to discuss unification. Candidate Kim Moon-soo's camp has urged the People Power leadership to unify, including through opinion polls.
They are insisting that related operations be immediately suspended.
