Hyundai Mobis smart card keys are popular in Korea, compatible with all Genesis models

Hyundai Mobis, an auto parts manufacturer, recently launched smart card keys for all models of its luxury car "Genesis" on its e-commerce site "Genesis Boutique."
The smart card key, which was released through Hyundai Motor's e-commerce site "Hyundai Shop" at the end of 2024, has been selling out and being restocked.
In April, the company made the system available for the All-New Palisade and Ioniq 9 SUVs, and will soon make the system available for the All-New Kona and Sonata Z sedan.
The system will be applicable to all Hyundai models, including the Edge. Kia Motors also plans to increase the number of compatible models. Hyundai Mobis' smart card key is about the size of a credit card.
It is small, measuring just 2.5mm thick, and can handle a wide range of functions, from opening and closing doors to opening the trunk, starting the engine, and remote parking assistance technology (RSPA).
The system allows the door to be opened without touching the card key. In the future, the company plans to expand sales to North America and Australia. The company will also be selling the system with company logos and wishes printed on it for company cars used by large companies.
The two companies will advance their collaboration by also providing a service that allows users to add desired messages.
