”GOT7” Jin Young, ”It was hard to endure depression in the past... Now things have changed” = (Photo shoot & interview)

Fashion magazine “Noblesse Men” has released a pictorial and interview with singer/actor Park Jin-young (GOT7) for its May issue.

The actor, who is returning in TvN's new drama “Unknown Seoul,” has created a more mature atmosphere in this pictorial, incorporating urban serenity and inner narrative at the same time. In the interview that followed the photo shoot, Park Jin-young described the character of 'Lee Han-su,' who he plays in 'Unknown Seoul', as “a man who never moves unless he's in the mood, but when he's moved, he means every word he says and every action he takes. I thought he might be similar to Lee Dong-jin in my previous work, 'The Witch: How to Save You', but as I read the script more deeply, I realized that he was a completely different type of character,” he added.

As for why he chose the film, he said, “I was moved by the diverse relationships that the character of Lee Ho-su has. He said that the story's connection with family, friends, and lovers eventually led him to the keyword 'love', which was the decisive factor. He also openly discussed the changes he went through after his discharge from the military. He said, “Before, it was difficult for me to endure the feelings of depression, but now, even in the same situation, I think about what I can do first." He also described his military life as “the golden time of my life” and recalled that he was able to focus on himself during that time.


Jin-young explained why he continues to search for new emotions, stories, and characters, saying, “Sincerity is ultimately possible only when it overflows from within you all the time." He also added his confession that his love for his job is the reason and driving force for him to keep acting and the stage close to his heart. Recently, he has been meeting his fans again through his GOT7 activities. He said, “When I heard the cheers of the fans again, I thought, 'Oh, yes. This is why I loved this job so much,” he said, describing the moment when he returned to his roots.

He also said that his two worlds, singing and acting, “are physically exhausting, but it makes my mentality stronger,” and that it became a driving force for him to move his body again.
