”Drug-using” actor Yu A In nominated for Director's Choice Male Actor Award

Actor Yu A In, who is currently on trial for allegedly using illegal drugs, has been nominated for the Best Actor award. The Korea Film Directors Union announced on the 22nd that she will be nominated for the Best Actor award at the 23rd Director's Cut Awards to be held next month.

Yu A In was arrested and tried on suspicion of habitual use of drugs such as propofol and marijuana, and was given a suspended prison sentence in an appeal hearing held in February.
After Yu A In was given a suspended sentence, the prosecution appealed to the Supreme Court. Meanwhile, Kim Go Eun (Love in the Big City, Tomb of the Dead) and Kim
Jaehwa (To Her), Shin Hye Sung (#SheDied), and Yang Hee Kyung (#MorningSeagulls) were nominated. The director award went to Kim Hyun Joo, director of "The Battle" and "Handsome Guys."
Nominees include director Nam Dong-hyub, director Bong Joon-ho of "Mickey 17," director Woo Min-ho of "Harbin," director Jang Jae-hyun of "Tombbreak/Pamyo," and director Heo Jin-ho of "A Happy Family."
This year's 23rd Director's Cut Awards will be held on May 20th.
