「TEENTOP」ニエル、結局兵役免除
TEEN TOP's Niel finally exempted from military service... to become a community service officer
Niel, a member of the South Korean boy band TEEN TOP, has revealed that he has been ordered to serve in the military while on standby as a community service worker who is exempt from military enlistment.
Niel spoke about his military service during an interview commemorating the release of his fourth mini-album "SHE" on the 18th of this month.
On that day, he said, "I was determined to be a social service worker in 2021 and have been waiting to enlist. Last year, I was determined to be a long-term waiter and was ordered to serve in the military.
However, when asked why he was deemed a community service officer, Niel said, "It's a personal matter, so it's difficult for me to answer," and asked for understanding.
TEEN TOP, the group he belongs to, will become complete again with the return of member Chang Jo, who will be discharging next month.
When asked if he had any special plans other than releasing his solo album, Niel immediately replied, "I also want to reach out to my overseas fans.
"I plan to visit them," he said, "I'll also be going to Japan and Taiwan, and I'll be holding a fan meeting in Korea." He also said, "Chang Jo will be discharging in May," and "I need to make plans."
I think this year will be the busiest one yet," he added. Meanwhile, Niel, who has been active as a child actor since 2005, made his debut in the TV drama "TEENTO" in 2010.
Since his debut as "P", he has been actively working as a solo artist. He will release his 4th mini album "SHE" on various music stream sites at 6 pm on the 22nd (today).
