Acting President of South Korea expresses condolences for Pope's passing... ”My heartfelt condolences”

South Korean Prime Minister Han Deok-soo sent a telegram of condolence to Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Prefect of the Vatican's Council of State, following Pope Francis' passing away on the 21st.
The Prime Minister's Office announced this on the same day. In his condolence message, Han said, "The government and people of the Republic of Korea share the deep sorrow together with Catholics around the world and offer their heartfelt condolences."
"Through his teaching that 'we are all brothers and sisters,' the Pope has sent a message of love and solidarity to humanity. He has practiced the path of peace and reconciliation, and has spent his life working for the poor and marginalized," he said.
He also praised his achievements, saying, "He was dedicated to serving those who were saved." He also said that during his visit to Korea in 2014, he prayed for peace and unification on the Korean Peninsula, giving hope to the Korean church and people, and that he will be the first to receive the 2023
"I am deeply touched by the fact that Seoul was announced as the host city for the World Youth Day in 2027 at the closing mass of the Lisbon World Youth Day," he said, "This shows that Korea is the center of world peace and that special affection has been shown to us."
"We will deeply remember the teachings of love and peace that the Pope showed to the world. May his precious soul rest eternally in the presence of Jesus Christ," Han said in his condolences.
